His sci fi meets fantasy style of the OTHERLAND series of books literally changed my life and the way I read, it threw me headlong into an insatiable passion for sci fi and fantasy. Tad Williams is one of my ALL TIME favourite authors – his style of writing is on par or above that of Tolkein.
